Elk Horn Lodge is a executive home located in a quiet neighborhood surrounded by trees, with views of the mountains from many of the rooms, about a mile from Main Street in Breckenridge Colorado. This spacious 4200 square foot home is about twice of size of many homes that sleep a comparable number of people. This home is beautifully furnished with cathedral ceilings, has in-floor radiant heat, and many windows that make it very bright and cheery.

The Top Floor:

Santa Fe bedroom (sleeps 2):
This is the master bedroom, located on the top floor of the house. With 12 foot cathedral ceilings and a view of the mountains, this spacious luxurious room includes a king bed with a headboard, a 7 drawer dresser with a mirror, an Armoire with two drawers in the bottom and a TV with a stereo in the top, a leather couch with a night stand and lamp beside it, and two night stands with lamps by the bed. A large private bathroom is attached. The bathroom includes a walk-in closet, an extra-long bathtub, a separate large shower, two sinks, and commode room, all with high ceilings and lots of light.

Loft (sleeps 2):
The loft is right outside of the Santa Fe room. It doubles as a place to sleep (with bunk beds against one wall) and an office. This bright area with several windows includes a table desk, two office chairs, a credenza, a phone, a printer/scanner/fax, and modem access and a linen chest.

Sedona bedroom (sleeps 2):

The Entry Area:
Through the front door, or right off the garage, is the entry area. The Living Room/ Dinning room (sleeps 2):
Just off the entry is a 550 square foot great room with mountain views both in the dinning and living areas. In the dining area are three bar stools sitting next to the kitchen counter, and a custom Aspenwood table and chairs for 12. When you compare luxury homes in Breckenridge, finding a table this size in one of them is extremely rare. Whether you are having executive meetings, or dinner with your large group, having accommodations such as these are a real plus.

Just beyond the dinning area is the living area with a 12 foot cathedral ceiling and a the large natural stone fireplace. There are two leather couches (one is a pull-out queen sleeper and the other has two retractable footrests), two Ekorne leather chairs with ottomans, polished stone coffee and two end tables, two lamps, and an entertainment unit. In the entertainment unit, custom painted to match the large log accents in the living area, is a 32" TV, a VCR, DVD, tape deck and stereo.

Deck:
Just outside the dinning area is a private deck that you can access through the French doors. The private deck is about 250 square feet in size and is surrounded by trees and a steep hillside.

The Kitchen:
This is the cooks dream in the mountains. In many executive homes, the kitchen is separated from the living/dining rooms. Therefore, whoever is preparing the food is cut-off from the conversations and entertainment. The kitchen is just off the Entry way and is open to the living/dining rooms (with lots of light from the windows in the kitchen as well as the light above, around and under the counters). The kitchen comes with a full complement of cooking and eating ware, and utensils. It also includes a 4 burner gas stove, double ovens, a microwave, a refrigerator (with in-door water and ice), a dishwasher, a two sink garbage disposal area, coffee maker, toaster oven, and a pantry.

Parking (Garage and driveway space):
There is parking for a maximum of 8 cars - two in the garage, 4 in the driveway in front of the garage, and two in the alternate driveway. You can not park cars on the street in our neighborhood as the snow plows have be able to do their daily snow removal.

The garage is spacious, heated, and has room for two vehicles. It also has built-in ski racks and boot shelves. The boot shelves have convenient access to an electrical outlet to charge up your boot warmers.

Next to the entertainment unit is an oval card table with 6 chairs, perfect for that late night game or cards/dominos. Also, just off to the side of this room is a convenient powder room.

Patio/Hot Tub:
Just outside the family/game room through a patio door is a 6-8 person hot tub with 2 separate zones (because some people like to use the jets and others don't) with the jets utilizing 2-speed motors.
